Psychedelic and classic progressive rock meets themes of social unrest and individual apocalypse. Fantasy imagery and protest songs; improvisation and deliberate composition.
Elliott & the Elder Council are a band based out of the Front Range area of Colorado. Elliott Elder originally formed the band in 2021 as an outlet for his orignal compositions. The music of the Elder Council encompasses themes of existentialism, hope, compassion, and pain. We deliver these themes to you in the form of improvisitory psychedelic rock. If you you appreciate the sounds of Deep Purple, The Doors, Yes, and King Crimson, you will enjoy our music.
Currently, we aim to use our music to support progressive causes in the U.S. and abroad. Issues like workers' rights, bodily autonomy, racism, and the safety and inclusion our LGBTQ+ community members are important to the band. It is our goal to prioritize playing at events that and venues that promote awareness and action surrounding these topics.
Currently joined by Josh Mundt (guitar), Adam Revell (keys), and Will MacLeod (Drums), Elliott & the Elder Council is a band comprised of musicians with years of on-stage experience. Elliott himself is an internationally touring bass player. He and the band aim to bring any audience a fun and engaging experience.

We should all aim to cherish and celebrate the joys and miraculous qualities of human life. Just so, the plights and struggles inherent in life are something we must all strive to alleviate. It is of a spiritual importance for me to spend time and energy doing such. And so, this band has in its many purposes to spread awareness surrounding the struggles of our fellow siblings on this Earth - and to combat patterns that give rise to those undue hardships.
